Installation
This workspace pins a set of versions that are known to work together. You do not need to install anything by hand beyond the workspace dependencies.
The stack
| Tool | Role |
|---|---|
| Nx | Monorepo tooling, task running, and caching |
| Angular | Standalone components, signals, control flow |
| AnalogJS | File-based routing, Markdown content, SSG |
| Vite | Dev server and build pipeline |
| Tailwind CSS | Utility-first styling (v4, CSS-first config) |
| Shiki | Build-time syntax highlighting |
Install
# From the workspace root
npm install
That single command pulls everything, including the Tailwind Vite plugin and the typography plugin used to style rendered Markdown.
Verify the install
Run a production build. It compiles the app and prerenders every route:
npx nx build docs
You should see a line for each prerendered page, and the static output lands in
dist/docs/analog/public.
Common issues
- Wrong Node version — the build uses modern ESM; use Node 20+.
- Stale cache — clear it with
npx nx resetif a build behaves oddly. - Port already in use — pass
--porttonx serve.
Prefer reproducible installs in CI. The GitHub Actions workflow uses
npm ciwith dependency caching so builds stay fast and deterministic.
